President Joe Biden faced heavy criticism from some Hawaiian residents after his visit to Maui in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires. Biden’s visit aimed to assess the damage caused by the wildfires, which tragically led to the death of at least 114 people, with the final death toll expected to rise significantly.

During his speech, Biden somehow found it appropriate to crack jokes and share personal anecdotes. At one point, he even dared to compare the catastrophic wildfires to a small kitchen fire he had experienced years ago, where he supposedly almost lost his precious Corvette. Can you believe the audacity of this man?

Biden says "Jill and I have a little sense of what it's like to lose a home" and then tells the story of when lightning struck his house in 2004 and says "I almost lost my '67 corvette and my cat."
According to a report from the time, the lighting strike caused "a small fire… pic.twitter.com/V8IBfoZuEW

JUST IN: President Biden jokes about how hot the ground is in Maui after a fire ripped through, killing hundreds.
“You guys catch the boots out here? That’s a hot ground, man,” he joked.

This insensitive attempt at humor did not go over well with one American citizen, who let his feelings be known in a viral video. The man expressed his outrage, exclaiming, “There were children who were turned to ash! You f–king old man. You vile human being.” And he wasn’t the only one. Upon Biden’s arrival, Maui residents also expressed their disappointment and anger towards the President.
But let’s not stop at Biden’s tasteless jokes. He also had the audacity to spread falsehoods about a 2004 kitchen fire that apparently almost claimed his beloved Corvette and cat. However, it turns out that the fire was quickly brought under control in a mere twenty minutes. Yet Biden shamelessly tried to twist this insignificant incident into a connection to the devastating loss of life in Maui.
But it didn’t end there. Biden also felt the need to bring up his own personal tragedies, including the loss of his wife and child in the 1970s. How classless can one person be? While hundreds of children in Maui are missing, Biden couldn’t muster anything more than a vague reference to being a parent and someone distributing clothing to survivors. He then proceeded to crack jokes about the hot ground in Maui. Unbelievable.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, there were reports of Biden dozing off during an event the following day. So much for being engaged and empathetic towards a grieving community. But don’t worry, after all this, Biden quickly returned to Lake Tahoe for his vacation.
One can only imagine the outrage and media circus that would ensue if this were a Republican administration. Just look at how George Bush and Donald Trump were relentlessly attacked during natural disasters. It’s clear that Biden’s actions would not be tolerated if he belonged to the opposing party. But for now, let’s hope the people of Maui can find solace and support from someone who actually prioritizes their well-being.
