Biden’s Supreme Court Plan is Dead on Arrival in GOP House

Biden’s latest scheme to reshape the Supreme Court is just like those mystery meat hot dogs found in the back of the freezer—old, questionable, and nobody really wants them.

The current “leader” of the free world, who is more caretaker than commander, has unveiled what he calls a transformative plan aimed at revamping the nation’s highest court. The only problem is that this ill-conceived idea is already dead on arrival in the Republican-controlled House. With a facade of seriousness, Biden’s team initially leaked hints about major changes, but those fizzled out faster than a soda left open overnight. The only thing lamer than the rollout of this plan is the realization that Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t going to lift a finger until after her re-election. It’s as if they’re both waiting for the right moment to strike—unfortunately for them, that moment will probably never come.

One can hardly contain the enthusiasm while digesting Biden’s proposals.
It includes the modest suggestion of limiting Supreme Court Justices to 18-year terms. It’s like saying you’ll only eat cake from a fancy box—very refined but oddly impractical. Additionally, he has floated a lovely little idea calling for a code of conduct, a concept that should have been established by Congress long ago, but it appears they would rather pass the buck and hope the problem resolves itself. Even a magnetic personality like Biden can’t hammer down a constitutional amendment that clarifies the very nature of presidential immunity when the lega-circus itself can’t even settle the basics.

As imbalanced as a seesaw with an elephant on one side, the Democrats seem more fixated on tearing down the castle-shaped Supreme Court than structuring a legitimate plan that respects the rule of law. How about a trade? Term limits for the Supreme Court in exchange for term limits on Congress? The voters seem to desire accountability across the board, yet the Left prefers to play chess with issues rather than face them head-on.

On cue, Harris endorsed Biden’s Supreme Court plans as though they were the latest designer handbag hitting the market. This seems to solidify the notion that the real agenda is driven by the Vice President and her progressive allies. It’s almost as if Biden is more like a corporate figurehead doing the bidding of his energetic underlings rather than acting like the President. The power dynamics in the White House are more tangled than the Christmas lights in the attic, leading many to wonder who really is in charge, and sadly, it doesn’t seem to be Biden.

With all of this chaos and confusion, the 25th Amendment remains an untouched relic of good governance that neither Biden nor Harris seems willing to invoke. The political courage required for such a move is buried under layers of incompetence and avoidance. Ultimately, the White House stumbles forward, clutching a game plan that resembles a poorly designed political cartoon, with the audience left rolling their eyes and asking, “What’s next?”
