In a shocking turn of events, it appears that the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s fight against Hamas may be wavering. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s comments during a meeting with the Israeli war cabinet have raised eyebrows and led many to question the administration’s commitment to our closest ally in the Middle East.
According to a translated transcript of the conversation, Blinken had the audacity to suggest that Israel doesn’t have the “credit” for eliminating Hamas if it takes more than a few months. Can you believe it? Apparently, Blinken thinks that the Israeli Defense Forces should be able to simply snap their fingers and make Hamas disappear. Well, sorry Mr. Blinken, but the real world doesn’t work like that.
Biden admin is setting the stage to abandon Israel. What started off as “We are totally with you in destroying Hamas, which is as bad as ISIS,” is deteriorating into “You don’t have our support unless you can dismantle Hamas very quickly with very limited civilian casualties.”… pic.twitter.com/LJJHk5uTDm

It’s clear that Blinken is completely out of touch with the reality on the ground. He seems to think that Israel can just magically avoid civilian casualties while dealing with a terrorist organization that hides among the civilian population. But let’s be real here, folks. Hamas uses innocent men, women, and children as human shields, intentionally putting them in harm’s way. It’s a despicable tactic, and Blinken’s naive comments only serve to undermine Israel’s right to defend itself.
Furthermore, Blinken had the audacity to pressure Israel on its plans for a post-war Gaza. Who does he think he is? Israel has every right to decide who governs Gaza, and they have made it clear that they will not allow the Palestinian Authority, which supports and finances terror, to rule there. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hit the nail on the head when he said, “As long as I’m sitting in this chair, the Palestinian Authority will not rule Gaza on the day after Hamas.”
But despite Blinken’s misguided comments, Netanyahu remains steadfast in his commitment to defeating Hamas. He understands that this is not just a fight against a terrorist group, but a fight for the safety and security of the Israeli people. As he rightfully said, “We are going to fight Hamas till we prevail, no matter how long it takes. It’s a just war. It’s a war to end Hamas, the ISIS of Gaza.”
It’s clear that the Biden administration is dangerously out of touch with the realities of the situation in the Middle East. Instead of blindly criticizing our ally, they should be offering their full support and standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel as they fight against terrorism. But sadly, it seems like partisan politics and a lack of understanding have clouded their judgment. It’s a shame, but the American people deserve better.
