In a recent move that has shocked the political world, firebrand Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has taken a stand against fellow conservative Rep. Ken Buck’s decision to retire early from Congress. Boebert wasn’t shy about calling out Buck, accusing him of making a swampy backroom deal to rig the upcoming election that she was already winning by a landslide. She slammed the establishment for forcing an unnecessary special election, which would leave the 4th District without representation for over three months. “The 4th District deserves better,” she passionately declared.
Buck, who had previously announced he wouldn’t seek reelection in 2024, surprised everyone by deciding to step down from his role much sooner. He claimed he wanted to spend more time with his family and be more involved politically in Colorado. But Boebert isn’t sold on his reasons and sees his departure as weakening the House GOP even further.
