Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado made headlines last week when she shared a photo of herself alongside comedian Dave Chappelle at the Capitol. The image was intended to symbolize the ongoing battle over gender in America. This caused quite a stir among the liberal elites who just can’t stand to see patriots like Boebert supporting traditional values.

It all started when Chappelle was at the Capitol and Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida stopped him for a quick chat. As their conversation wrapped up, Boebert seized the opportunity to snap a selfie with Chappelle. She posted the image on her social media with the caption “just three people who understand there’s only two genders.” You can imagine the shockwaves that reverberated through the halls of the liberal echo chambers after that statement!
Of course, Chappelle has ruffled feathers with his jokes that some have labeled as transphobic. The left-wing activists at Call to Activism then took the selfie and tried to turn it into a scandal by quoting statements they claimed were made by Chappelle. They went so far as to suggest that Chappelle felt ‘tricked’ by Boebert into taking the photo. What a load of hogwash!
Chappelle’s alleged comments about feeling tricked by Boebert were then used to further stir the pot, but let’s be real here – we all know that Chappelle is a master of comedy, and those so-called statements could’ve been taken way out of context. There’s no way a strong, independent woman like Lauren Boebert would resort to trickery to get a selfie with anyone, and certainly not with someone as high-profile as Chappelle.
