Attorney General Pam Bondi just made one of the biggest mistakes any conservative can make. She told Americans the government will go after people for hate speech. This is dead wrong and goes against everything we believe about free speech.
Bondi made these shocking comments after the tragic killing of conservative hero Charlie Kirk. She said there is free speech and then there is hate speech. She promised the Justice Department will target anyone who uses hate speech against others.
The backlash was swift and brutal. Even top conservatives like Brit Hume slammed Bondi for not knowing basic constitutional law. Hate speech is fully protected by the First Amendment, period.
Here is the most embarrassing part. Charlie Kirk himself once posted that hate speech does not exist legally in America. He said all speech, even ugly and gross speech, is protected by the First Amendment. Bondi should have listened to the man she claims to be defending.
Conservative Americans are furious and confused. How can our own Attorney General sound exactly like liberal Democrats? This is the same garbage Tim Walz and Kamala Harris pushed during their failed campaign.
Bondi tried to save face by saying she only meant threats of violence. But that is not what she said originally. She clearly stated the government would target hate speech, which is completely unconstitutional.
Even worse, Bondi suggested businesses should be forced to print pictures of Kirk. This goes against everything conservatives believe about private property rights. Matt Walsh called her position insane and said Trump should fire her.
This is a wake up call for all patriots. We cannot let our own people destroy the Constitution we swore to defend. Free speech means protecting all speech, even when it hurts our feelings.
