Attorney General Pam Bondi is making conservatives everywhere shake their heads in disgust. She just proved she doesn’t understand the very principles that put Trump back in the White House. Her latest comments show she’s more interested in big government power grabs than protecting our constitutional rights.
First, Bondi went on a podcast and threatened to prosecute Americans for so-called hate speech. She actually said the government would target and go after people for their words. This is exactly the kind of leftist thinking that conservatives have fought against for decades.
Then she made things even worse by threatening to prosecute Office Depot over an employee who wouldn’t print Charlie Kirk vigil flyers. The employee was already fired by his own company for his actions. But Bondi wants to waste taxpayer money going after a business that already handled the situation.
Conservative hero Matt Walsh called her out hard and told Trump to get rid of her immediately. He reminded everyone that conservatives fought for years to win the right for businesses to refuse service to anyone. Now Bondi wants to throw all that progress away for no good reason.
Other top conservatives like Brit Hume and Charles Cooke also slammed Bondi’s comments. They pointed out that hate speech isn’t even a real legal concept in America. The First Amendment protects all speech, even the speech we don’t like.
This is a huge embarrassment for the Trump administration. Bondi is supposed to be fighting the real enemies of America, not attacking our own constitutional rights. She’s acting more like a Democrat than a conservative fighter.
The free market already solved the Office Depot problem when they fired the employee. Americans spoke up on social media and the company listened. That’s exactly how things should work in a free country, not through government threats and prosecutions.
Trump needs to fix this mess before Bondi does more damage to the conservative movement. We didn’t vote for bigger government and speech police. We voted for freedom, and Bondi clearly doesn’t understand what that means.
