Border Bedlam: GOP Slams Biden as Migrants Flood Texas Town!

Amidst the chaos at the border, U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, backed by a squadron of 64 other Republican legislators, took a trip to the small Texas border city of Eagle Pass. Their mission? None other than to receive a security briefing on the massive migration surge that witnessed over 70,000 migrants crossing the Rio Grande into the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector in the month of December. The pace of migrant crossings may have slowed in recent days, but Speaker Johnson wasted no time pointing fingers, placing the blame directly on the President’s failed policies.

In fiery remarks made after touring the border region and receiving a security briefing, Speaker Johnson lashed out at the Biden administration, denouncing their handling of the border crisis as “an unmitigated disaster, it’s a disaster of the president’s own design.” With all the confidence of a seasoned lawmaker, Johnson didn’t hold back in calling out President Joe Biden for swiftly undoing border security measures implemented under the Trump administration. He made sure to draw attention to Biden’s decision to halt construction of the southern border wall and terminate the remain in Mexico policy, effectively paving the way for the current mayhem at the border.

Providing even more ammunition in his scathing critique, Speaker Johnson revealed a shocking revelation – 312 migrants on the FBI’s Terrorist Watch List had slipped into the country on the Biden administration’s watch. According to Johnson, the situation is spinning out of control and he urgently called for policy changes, including the reinstatement of the Remain in Mexico policy and putting an end to “catch and release” practices at the border. Talk about putting the pedal to the metal!

As if that wasn’t enough, the Customs and Border Protection actually released a significant number of migrants in the area just before the Speaker’s visit, despite efforts to reduce crossings and empty detention facilities. It seems the Biden administration was doing some last-minute tidying up to create a facade of control. However, even with all the smoke and mirrors, a group of migrants still managed to sneak across the Rio Grande during the press event. It’s almost like a scene out of an action movie, except this is real life and the consequences are anything but entertaining.

But wait, there’s more! The December influx of over 70,000 migrants in the Del Rio Sector stirred up enough trouble to prompt U.S. Customs and Border Protection to shut down cross-border rail operations at Eagle Pass, the second busiest rail port of entry in Texas. It’s like a game of musical chairs, but instead of fun and games, it’s a chaotic game of policy decisions and consequences.

In a final blow to the administration, Border Patrol records were shattered left and right, with the Del Rio Sector and other sectors apprehending a jaw-dropping total of nearly 250,000 migrants in December alone. That’s more migrants than you can count on your fingers and toes combined! The prior records set back in the early 2000s were crushed mercilessly, making it clear that the current border crisis is truly unprecedented in the worst possible way.

With all this madness at the border, it’s no wonder Speaker Johnson and his Republican comrades are up in arms about the Biden administration’s border policies.
