A Border Patrol agent recently shared his perspective on the challenges faced by agents at the U.S.-Mexico border, and boy, oh boy, did he paint a different picture than what we’ve been hearing from the Biden administration. This agent highlighted the major differences between Trump’s tough stance on border security and Biden’s more relaxed approach.
First of all, let’s talk about those asylum seekers. According to the agent, many of them don’t even qualify for asylum. They’re just gaming the system and taking advantage of our backlog of cases. Can you believe it? They’re given court dates years into the future, and by the time their day in court arrives, they’re already settled comfortably in the U.S. It’s like a free pass to stay here, courtesy of our broken immigration system.
But wait, there’s more! The agent also praised Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy as the most effective thing we had going for us at the border. Under this policy, asylum seekers had to wait in Mexico while their cases were processed. It was a brilliant strategy to ensure we weren’t overwhelmed by people trying to enter the country illegally. But now, under Biden, that policy has gone out the window, and it’s clear that things are spiraling out of control.
And let’s not forget about DNA testing. This agent revealed that a whopping 40 to 50 percent of those tested were found NOT to be families. Can you imagine? People are faking familial relationships just to increase their chances of being allowed into the country. It’s a mockery of our immigration system and a slap in the face to all the law-abiding immigrants who have waited their turn.
