Just hours before the big Republican primary debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, our favorite businessman turned North Dakota governor, Doug Burgum, experienced a little mishap while playing basketball with his staff. Ouch! Those hoops can be dangerous, folks. But fear not, Burgum still made it to the debate, thanks to his clever strategy of bribing… er, I mean, rewarding his supporters. You see, he sent them a $20 gift card in exchange for a measly $1 donation. Talk about a bargain! According to the Republican National Committee, a candidate needed a whopping 40,000 donors and a signed pledge to support the eventual nominee to secure a spot on that prestigious debate stage. But Burgum found a loophole and showed those RNC folks who’s boss.

Now, let’s talk about Burgum’s campaign travels. He’s been quite the world traveler lately, folks. Last week, he was in Iowa, shmoozing with voters at their famous state fair. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s been spending his time gallivanting around New Hampshire too. Talk about jet-setting! Burgum knows that these early primary states are crucial for building momentum. As he told North Dakota’s KX News, “If you have strong momentum out of those two, then it’s almost a month later before the next state, which is South Carolina.” Wow, who knew being a presidential candidate required so much travel? But Burgum isn’t worried. He’s already pulling ahead of those big-name candidates with “100% name recognition” and past national office experience. Looks like Burgum is off to a fantastic start, folks!

Now, let’s not forget about the debate itself. Burgum was set to share the stage with seven other Republican candidates. Can you believe it? Seven whole candidates! I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a recipe for some lively debates and maybe even a few fireworks. So buckle up, folks, because Doug Burgum is here to shake things up!
