The U.S. House of Representatives is all in a tizzy again, folks! They’re getting ready for a second round of voting for the new House Speaker, and it’s gonna be a nail-biter. You see, last time around, 20 Republicans had the audacity to vote against House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan. Can you believe it? But don’t worry, Jordan’s got a game plan to win them over.
🚨 REPORT: The U.S. House of Representatives will be holding a second floor vote for House Speaker on Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET.
Who will come out victorious? 🤔https://t.co/ytyPUh3FU5

First off, we’ve got Rep. Doug LaMalfa from California. The guy voted for Kevin McCarthy instead of Jordan on the first ballot, just to stick it to him. But don’t you worry, LaMalfa says he’s gonna give his support to Jordan this time around. Well, look who’s having a change of heart!
But there are still some holdouts, my friends. Take Rep. Ken Buck from Colorado, for instance. He says he won’t vote for Jordan unless he sings like a canary and admits that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Buck’s got some other gripes too, like Jordan’s involvement in the January 6 shindig. Seems like he’s got a long list of demands before he’ll give his precious vote.
And get this, folks. There are even rumblings about expanding the powers of House Speaker Pro Tempore Patrick McHenry from North Carolina. It’s like they’re hedging their bets, just in case they can’t make up their minds about Jordan. I tell ya, these politicians ain’t loyal!
But don’t count Jordan out just yet, folks. His supporters are putting on a brave face. They’re saying he’ll find a way to win over those pesky holdouts. Rep. Byron Donalds from Florida thinks Jim will work his magic and make those Republicans fall in line. Hey, anything’s possible in Washington, right?
And speaking of Florida, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna wants you to know that her district is standing strong behind Jordan. She’s been getting tons of messages and phone calls from folks who want to see him in that big fancy Speaker chair. She says she’s gonna represent their wishes and make their voices heard. You tell ’em, Luna!
So get ready, folks. This drama-filled House Speaker election is far from over. The next vote is tomorrow at 11 a.m., and we’ll be keeping an eye on it. Remember, this is the people’s house, not some playground for special interests. So let’s see who comes out on top and holds that coveted Speaker title. This is gonna be good! Stay tuned, folks!
