Joe Biden is back at it, this time stumbling through another lackluster address to the nation, struggling to comment on the recent failed assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. Fresh off his little journey to Michigan, Biden managed to deliver his remarks in two separate parts. One can’t help but wonder if the White House was simply trying to make it appear as if they have a busy or competent president at the helm. Given the current state of his staff—demoralized, incompetent, and beyond third-rate—it’s no wild guess to think they could barely muster any prepared remarks. This crowd probably had their fingers crossed that Trump wouldn’t survive, revealing an animosity that transcends job description.
The president’s Oval Office address became the latest addition to his infamous collection of slurred speeches. Words were skipped, the camera was avoided, and mispronunciations littered his address like candy at an Easter egg hunt. He described the ballot box—unbelievably—as a “battle box” for deciding the nation’s future. One might think he was auditioning for a comedic role rather than leading the free world.

Biden’s struggle with coherent speech reached its peak as he tried to assure Americans that Trump wasn’t seriously injured. Yet, the doubt in his voice mirrored his previous attempts to handle crises. Remember the Kabul debacle? Yes, back then he dithered away on vacation, debating whether to return to his presidential duties. This is the same man who once boasted that if he had crossed paths with Trump in high school, he would have taken him behind the gym for a good ol’ beating. Oh, the contradictions!
Now, Biden is here to tell the nation that violence is not the answer. Conveniently, he neglects to mention any violence from his own party’s base, ensuring his address remains as unbalanced as a seesaw in a hurricane. The irony is not lost on anyone, as Biden himself had been riling up his followers with claims of Trump being the greatest threat to democracy. Biden’s hypocrisy is on full display: the man who called for turning down the rhetoric was the same who fueled the fire.
That ironic veneer quickly fades when observing Biden’s past actions. This president might as well be a clown in a circus of degenerates. Charisma? A foreign concept to him. Touchy and awkward? Absolutely. He is a serial failure, losing twice in his bids for the presidency, only to miserably dither through his term when given a third shot. While Trump lay recovering from an assassination attempt, Biden’s statement was so disjointed that even Pete Buttigieg managed to outshine him with a more prompt and coherent response. Let that sink in.
This president has persistently goaded his supporters into near-violent hysteria against Trump, all the while presenting himself as the savior of democracy. What he should have done was take responsibility for the heightened tensions that his statements fostered—not that anyone expected him to do so. He’s the product of a family mired in scandals, run-ins with the law, and a thirst for power. The American public doesn’t need lectures on peace from a figure who has spent his time pouring gasoline on the fire.
But rest assured, America will get its opportunity to bid farewell to Joe Biden. Come November, a looming landslide victory for Donald J. Trump will serve as the final nail in the coffin of Biden’s abysmal tenure. His legacy? A delusional old man thinking he triumphed in a race he was never equipped to run. As America moves towards a brighter future under real leadership, Biden can take his Ensure and catheter and retire, finally giving this great nation a reprieve from his bumbling performance.
