The wacky and wild world of politics is heating up as No Labels, a group of centrist folks who can’t make up their minds, is trying to cook up a scheme to prop up ol’ Sleepy Joe in the 2024 election against our favorite former president, Donald J. Trump. Can you believe it? These jokers are trying to whip up a Republican-led unity ticket to give Biden a leg up in the race.

Now, these No Labels folks claim they’re not trying to boost Trump, but stopping him from getting reelected is apparently more important to them than restoring any sort of bipartisanship. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a whole lot of baloney to me! And get this, they’re thinking about tapping Geoff Duncan, a former Republican lieutenant governor of Georgia, to lead this so-called unity ticket.
The so-called “political experts” out there are skeptical of this third-party hocus pocus. They’re saying there’s no big shot to draw in the voters, they might not even make it on all 50 state ballots, and worst of all, they could sink Biden’s reelection hopes faster than the Titanic! And honestly, who could blame them? This whole mess sounds like a recipe for disaster.
To add insult to injury, they can’t even wrangle up any big-name Republicans to join their little circus act. Even Nikki Haley, Mitt Romney, and Larry Hogan are giving them the cold shoulder. And guess what? Centrist Democrat Joe Manchin said, “No thanks” too! It’s like they’re playing with a bunch of broken toys and expecting them to turn into shiny, new ones.
Just when you think it can’t get any more absurd, No Labels is charging forward like a bull in a china shop. They’ve even announced the formation of a fancy-schmancy committee to pick a presidential candidate. But let’s face it, it’s like trying to pick the best fruit out of a moldy bunch. And to top it all off, now they’re worried about a new super PAC and some Democratic operatives raining on their little parade. Oh, what a mess!
Some sharp cookies are saying that a credible No Labels candidate could actually hurt Biden, not Trump. And get this, a poll average has Trump ahead of Sleepy Joe by over 2 percentage points. It’s enough to make your head spin! And don’t even get started about what could happen if these No Labels characters end up throwing a monkey wrench into the swing states. It could lead to another round of election denialism!
