The chaos in Los Angeles last week was a loud wake-up call—a stark reminder of the crisis plaguing cities that cater to anarchists in the name of social justice. Anti-ICE riots erupted following the necessary actions taken by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to apprehend illegal migrants. Instead of defending our laws, local leaders played the blame game, prioritizing radical agendas over the safety and security of their communities. This misguided approach will no longer go unchecked.
Lawmakers are stepping up in response by drafting vital legislation—dubbed the SAFE Cities Act. This measure aims to cut off federal funding to any city that dares to support rioters. It’s about time someone stood up to the chaos and demanded accountability. Taxpayer money should not flow into jurisdictions that allow lawlessness to thrive under the guise of altruism. Our hard-earned dollars deserve to be invested in cities that respect the rule of law and protect their citizens.
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass should be ashamed. Their pathetic leadership during the riots showcased a regrettable unforgivable loyalty to anarchy instead of their own constituents. President Trump had no choice but to enact law and order by deploying National Guard troops. It’s clear that in such “anarchist” cities, federal support is not only necessary, but long overdue.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is already cutting off funds to repair infrastructure damaged by rioters, making a strong statement that federal resources won’t go to rogue state actors. If cities want to embrace disorder and chaos, they need to face the consequences. It’s as simple as that. Hardworking Americans should not be punished by funding those who refuse to enforce our laws. This type of strong leadership is refreshing and shows what true governance looks like.
Ultimately, the SAFE Cities Act is not just legislation; it’s a necessary stand against a tide of liberal insanity that threatens to engulf our nation. It sends a clear message: support law and order, or lose the funding that keeps your city afloat. If cities are unwilling to uphold their responsibilities, why should the federal government continue to bankroll their dysfunction? The choice is clear—follow the law or deal with the repercussions. The American people deserve leadership that prioritizes their safety over the whims of mob rule.
Isn’t it time we stop coddling the criminals and put law-abiding citizens first?
