Well, well, well, folks, it looks like we’ve got ourselves a real doozy of a disagreement on our hands! Former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney has found herself having a good old-fashioned clash of opinions with a Democrat. Imagine that!

Now, Liz Cheney and Stephen Colbert started off on the same page, trash-talking former President Donald Trump. Colbert called Trump a “fascist dictator,” and Cheney hopped right on that bandwagon, accusing Trump of preying on the patriotism of the American people. She even agreed with Colbert’s claim that Trump’s attacks on the media were a “very fascist thing to do.” Talk about a match made in liberal heaven.
But wait, hold your horses! The harmony didn’t last long when they started discussing left-wing anti-Semitism and the alleged wrongdoings of the Republican Party. Liz Cheney was quick to call out the left for their anti-Semitic tendencies, especially on college campuses, and Stephen Colbert just couldn’t let that slide without trying to take a swipe at the Republicans. Typical.
Then came the real kicker. Cheney had the audacity to stand up for her beloved party when Colbert tried to lump all Republicans in with Trump’s supposed fascist playbook. She wasn’t having it. Let’s just say, things got a little tense, and they definitely weren’t seeing eye to eye on this one.
It’s no wonder Cheney feels the need to stand up to the GOP’s current leadership and Trump’s influence. She’s got a new book to promote, after all, so she’s got to make some waves and stir the pot. Can’t blame her for trying to cash in on the drama!
And there you have it, folks. Just another day in the world of politics, where even former allies can’t seem to agree on the most basic of issues. Who would’ve thought?
