Chris Christie Blasts Biden for Lack of Outreach After Rejecting Trump

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie didn’t hold back when he called out President Joe Biden for not reaching out to him after Christie declared he wouldn’t be supporting former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. In an interview with the Washington Post, Christie made it clear that he’s not a fan of either Trump or Biden. “One thing I know for sure now is I’m not voting for Trump under any circumstances,” Christie declared. “If he’s the only person on the ballot, I’m not voting for Trump, because I know him too well, and he is wholly unfit to be president of the United States in every way you think.”

When asked if Biden had attempted to connect with him after Christie’s announcement, the former governor didn’t hold back, calling it “pretty stupid” for Biden not to reach out to him. Christie also broke a previous pledge to the Republican National Committee when he stated he would not vote for Trump, making it clear he’s not backing down from his decision.

While Christie has been vocal about his decision not to endorse Trump, he hasn’t exactly been enthusiastic about supporting Biden either. He called President Biden “past the sell-by date” and didn’t mince words when he criticized both Biden and Trump, stating, “Just because the American people are stupid enough to nominate them, it doesn’t mean I have to be stupid too.”

Christie also hinted at the possibility of running for president as a third-party candidate, but ultimately decided against it, expressing concerns about it potentially hurting Biden more than Trump.

Recent polling has shown Trump leading Biden by six points in crucial swing states, indicating that Trump has significant support, particularly in states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona.

Christie’s bold statements and refusal to toe the party line show a commitment to standing by his principles, even if it means going against both major party candidates. It’s clear that he’s not afraid to speak his mind, and his criticism of both Trump and Biden highlights the challenges both parties face in winning over conservatives like Christie.
