Chris Christie Slams Hunter Biden Inquiry as ‘Incompetent & Inexplicable’

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is currently running for president in 2024, is not happy with the way United States Attorney David Weiss has handled the investigation into Hunter Biden. Christie believes that Weiss “owes the American people an explanation” for his “incompetent” handling of the case. He argues that the conduct of the Justice Department and Weiss’s office is unjustifiable and needs to be addressed.

Christie makes it clear that he doesn’t care about Weiss’s political affiliation; he just wants answers. He emphasizes the need for confidence in our justice system, regardless of which party is in power. Christie believes that if someone’s work appears to be incompetent and inexplicable, they should be held accountable and explain themselves.

Adding to the controversy, Hunter Biden is scheduled to appear in court on July 26 regarding his plea deal on tax offenses and a firearm offense. Congressional Republicans are criticizing the plea deal, claiming that it is a politically motivated move by the Justice Department. They argue that there is a “two-tiered system of justice” that targets Hunter Biden while going easy on former President Donald Trump.

Christie agrees with the Republicans, stating that it shouldn’t take five years to investigate two misdemeanor tax counts and dismiss a gun charge. He wants to know what exactly was being investigated and why these are the charges that were ultimately brought forward. Christie highlights the importance of equal justice and questions whether this case is being handled in a fair and unbiased manner, considering Hunter Biden’s connection to the President of the United States.
