The results of a recent Siena College poll paint a striking picture: a solid majority of New Yorkers, 54% to be exact, support President-elect Trump’s deportation agenda. Yes, that’s right—this is New York, historically a bastion of liberal thought. Yet, even here, the populace is backing measures to send illegal immigrants packing. That’s not just a light nod; it’s a definitive stamp of approval for the president-elect’s plans aimed at restoring some semblance of order.

It appears that while the Democrats may play political games, the citizens are crying out for real solutions. It would seem that tackling the illegal immigration problem has become a unifying issue, cutting across demographics, as the poll suggests significant support from both Black and white voters, and even a plurality of Latino voters.
But hold on. Not all Democrats are thrilled by this wave of pragmatic thought. The poll indicates that 51% of Democrats still oppose deportations, proving that some folks remain blissfully ignorant. Meanwhile, 87% of Republicans stand firmly behind Trump’s plans. Independent voters, who often swing elections, also lean towards the pro-deportation stance with a respectable 54% supporting the initiative. Talk about a wake-up call for the Democrats, who seem to have miscalculated their playbook yet again.
With the federal government having lost track of around 320,000 children, and threats like rapists and drug dealers roaming around unchecked, the need for decisive action is more pressing than ever. There’s no room for debate here; it’s time for action. Delivering families in bulk back to their places of origin might just be the most sensible strategy yet. For the Democrats and their misguided rhetoric, the message is clear: step aside and let those who actually prioritize the safety of Americans take the reins. After all, a vast number of New Yorkers have spoken—loudly and clearly.
