Anthony Bass, an ardent Christian and erstwhile pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, experienced firsthand the drawbacks of issuing apologies to what many label as the ‘woke’ brigade. This faction, reminiscent of the destructive hordes from ancient history, appears intent on annihilating reputations, with Bass as their latest target.

Bass vocalized his endorsement for boycotting corporations like Bud Light and Target, a stance that earned him sharp rebukes from liberal individuals and their counterparts in sports journalism. The controversial video that Bass redistributed came from a Bible-oriented Instagram profile that labeled Bud Light and Target as “malevolent” and “satanic” due to their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Following his controversial actions, Bass was removed from the Toronto Blue Jays just hours prior to his participation in Pride Weekend events. The club declared that they had designated him for assignment, essentially concluding his stint with the team.
In a moment of regret, Bass expressed his apology for sharing the post, even though it was not mandatory. This act of contrition did not shield him from the consequences, nor did it alter his fate. Liberals and their corporate allies appear ready to demolish anyone who does not conform to their norms.
Simultaneously, the companies that Bass criticized, Bud Light and Target, are facing massive losses in sales. Bud Light’s ill-conceived marketing campaign featuring a transgender influencer led them to forfeit their “king of beers” status to Modelo. Target’s venture to promote transgender-friendly swimwear and attire resulted in nearly $13 billion losses in the first week of its launch. Even though they have not withdrawn the line, numerous Target outlets have relocated these displays to less conspicuous areas.
In summary, Bass shouldn’t have expressed regret to the so-called ‘woke’ faction. Their objective is to tear down anyone who does not conform to their distinctive perspectives and principles. His endorsement of conventional values and resistance against the radical LGBTQ+ narrative should be celebrated, not criticized. We need more individuals like Anthony Bass to resist and challenge the harmful narrative propagated by liberals.
