Chuck Todd, the notorious Democrat apologist, has announced his retirement as the host of NBC News’ “Meet the Press” after running the show for nine years. The announcement was made during the final moments of the show on Sunday. However, despite looking like Chuck Todd, the announcer sitting in front of the camera did not sound like Chuck Todd. Todd talked about being committed to actual journalism, which is quite remarkable given that he is one of the mainstream media’s biggest propagandists.

Todd would often play fast and loose with the facts, telling his viewers what to think instead of letting them draw their own conclusions. For instance, he blamed Trump for Joe Biden’s low approval ratings a year into Biden’s presidency. He also suggested that the fact that COVID was still around was not Biden’s fault. Todd would make his viewers mad and shake their heads in disapproval with his Democratic Party talking point commentary.
In his recent debate with 2024 GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on the issue of gender ideology, Todd declared, without evidence, that “there is a lot of scientific research that says gender is a spectrum.” Moreover, Todd had claimed that a vaccine mandate is a pro-life position, which Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves promptly schooled him.
In conclusion, Chuck Todd, who will soon step down as the host of “Meet the Press,” is not the kind of journalist he pretended to be with his comments on Sunday. If Todd was genuine about his commitment to actual journalism, he would have earned a broad audience beyond Beltway elites. However, the Chuck Todd we saw on Sunday was not the Chuck Todd we had known. Indeed, very few people beyond Joe Biden would miss him being at the helm of a long-running program.
