Let’s talk about something important, folks, and that’s how out of touch the elites can be with everyday Americans. Combine elitism and age, and you get one super clueless individual when it comes to pop culture or even simple line dancing. Take, for example, former first lady Hillary Clinton. She was pulled up in front of a group of people to do the Macarena. In public. On purpose. Yep, you read that right. This wasn’t some kind of embarrassing accident; it was a carefully curated plan to humiliate herself.

The Spanish magazine Hola! had the audacity to not only publish the video of this cringe-worthy performance but also claimed it had gone “viral.” With a bit over 15,000 likes, I’m not quite sure that qualifies as viral, but hey, I suppose anything’s possible on social media these days. And let me tell you, folks, it’s cringeworthy. You really shouldn’t watch this video, but if George had to suffer through it, then by golly, so should you. Misery loves company, after all.
Now, you might be asking yourself, should Hillary have just refused to join in the dancing? The answer is an overwhelming “Yes” according to a recent poll. But of course, that’s just common sense, something that seems to be sorely lacking in this situation.
At an event in Spain held in her honor, Clinton, without much thought, agreed to join in the Macarena. And let’s just say, she definitely didn’t master the choreography. Seriously, how out of touch do you have to be to not at least know the rudimentary movements of the “Macarena” line dance, a cultural craze from the ’90s? Even George feels like he could’ve done better than Clinton, which says something, but more importantly, he would have had the sense not to let them pull him up there in the first place.
Conservative talk show host Larry Elder summed it up perfectly, describing the event as “PAINFUL.” And let me tell you, folks, it really was. The video truly is cringe-worthy, and it’s no wonder so many folks agreed with Elder’s assessment.
When the memory of this video haunts you and you feel the urge to bleach your eyeballs, just remember: It could’ve been worse. They could have pulled Joe Biden up there. Can you imagine?
