There’s a lot of wishful thinking in liberal circles that Trump voters are drowning in regret. But let’s face it, that’s just another fantasy cooked up in their echo chambers. They are convinced — without a shred of proof — that hordes of Trump fans are suddenly waking up to some grand mistake. Even CNN’s own data guru has had to burst their bubble. Despite their dreams of a crumbling Trump base, the reality is as solid as ever.
The second term of President Trump opened to the usual barrage of left-wing narratives. They can’t seem to digest the fact that Trump not only swept swing states but also achieved the first Republican popular vote win since 2004. Instead of facing the facts, they spin tales about masses of regretful Trump voters. But when you dive into actual polling data, that theory sinks like a lead balloon. An alarming 98% of Trump voters stand by their choice. That’s almost every single one. Where’s that mass regret?
Compare that to the Kamala Harris supporters, where a decent chunk – 14% – already wishes they’d voted differently. So who’s really regretting their vote? Not those who backed Trump. The liberal media machine should perhaps look at their own side rather than attempting to reshape the reality of the other.
Liberal pundits are clinging to their narratives like it’s the last lifeboat on the Titanic of their failed predictions. Meanwhile, Trump voters, armed with common sense and a love for their country, remain steadfast. They see the policies putting America first and back them wholeheartedly. It’s time for the Democrats to read the room. Their desperate attempt to paint Trump supporters as regretful shows their complete disconnect with half of America.
The numbers don’t lie and they don’t support the liberal dream world. Maybe it’s time to ask, why can’t the left accept reality? Or better yet, when will they run out of fantasies to chase? After all, clinging to false narratives won’t win elections or hearts, but maybe that’s the only play they have left.
