In an unexpected twist of fate, the folks over at CNN, long since canonized as the church of anti-Trump sentiment, have finally emerged from their ideological bunker to call out some of the glaring inaccuracies coming from the social media account of Vice President Kamala Harris. It seems, even in a world where Trump may as well be a rag doll they can’t resist tossing around for sport, there’s a semblance of journalistic integrity still clinging desperately to life. The account in question, @KamalaHQ, which boasts over 1.3 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), has become a veritable buffet of half-truths and outright fabrications when it comes to attacking the former president.
Daniel Dale, CNN’s self-appointed arbiter of truth, decided it was finally time to intervene, albeit a bit late to the game, like a referee that shows up for the last two minutes of a blowout. His report delves into the questionable antics of the @KamalaHQ account, which is often more like a slapstick comedy routine than a serious political campaign platform. In one eyebrow-raising instance, Hillariously enough, the Harris campaign ridiculously accused Trump of saying that “nothing was done wrong” during the 2017 Charlottesville incident, conveniently omitting the crucial context of what he actually said.

Instead of making the point that Trump was arguing about his own comments regarding “very fine people,” @KamalaHQ edited the video with all the finesse of a butcher trying to slice steak with a spoon. They took a clip of Trump admitting he had nothing to do with a relevant project and made it look as if he was defending the neo-Nazis, when in reality, he was clarifying his own stance—a classic case of misleading in the name of political theater. The broader narrative around Charlottesville seems to be one they’re happy to twist and contort like a pretzel, if it means putting Trump in the crosshairs.
In another comedic yet telling blunder, the Harris campaign tried to paint Senator JD Vance as advocating for the privatization of veterans’ health care with a cleverly truncated video. The clever editing did not stop there, as they left out the part where Vance elaborated that he was in favor of providing veterans more options, not stripping them of their rights to government healthcare. This choice of semantics by the Harris team reeks of desperation akin to a child trying to claim the last cookie while hiding the crumbs behind their back.
Dale’s critical examination didn’t just highlight a singular slip-up; it raised the uncomfortable question of just how often these misrepresentations occur without accountability, particularly when they’re aimed at one man in particular. It is hard to ignore the irony in the fact that it took Gabriel before CNN finally acknowledged that the Harris account has a woman-sized hole in its logic. The liberal media can’t seem to resist propping up their agenda, even if it means trampling on the facts.
While the fact that CNN stepped up to expose these deceptions should be applauded, it’s difficult not to notice that Daniel Dale had to bundle multiple lies into one neat package instead of giving each of them the individual grilling they deserved. With a history of smearing the former president, this rare moment of clarity could very well be dismissed as a fleeting encounter with honesty, albeit a thoroughly uncharacteristic one for a network that has thrived on misinformation. It raises the question of whether this is a genuine shift or merely a performance designed to maintain some credibility before the next round of anti-Trump vitriol begins again.
