CNN goes off the deep end over Tucker Carlson’s upcoming interview with Russian President (and bad guy extraordinaire) Vladimir Putin. Erin Burnett, a host on the network, seems to think it’s the equivalent of cozying up to Adolf Hitler during World War II. Can you say overreaction?

CNN didn’t stop there, though. Their news ticker labeled Carlson a “Putin sympathizer” without even a shred of evidence. Maybe they missed the memo that journalism should be based on facts, not wild accusations.
And then Burnett went on the attack, calling Carlson a “Putin-supporting celebrity” and even suggesting that he might be in Russia to “court the MAGA GOP.” Seriously, CNN? This is reaching new levels of absurdity.
But wait, there’s more! Burnett also tried to paint Carlson as a big Putin fan by showing a clip of him asking why he hates Putin. Apparently, in Burnett’s world, asking a question equals undying support. Who knew?
Here’s the bottom line: CNN is losing its mind over a journalist conducting an interview with a world leader. Last time anyone checked, that’s called doing your job. But leave it to CNN to turn a simple interview into a full-blown conspiracy theory.
The truth is, Carlson’s interview with Putin is newsworthy, whether CNN likes it or not. It’s the first interview Putin has done with a Western media figure since the invasion of Ukraine. And let’s not forget that Carlson had also requested an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. But that doesn’t fit CNN’s narrative, so of course, they conveniently left that part out.
In the end, CNN’s over-the-top reaction to Carlson’s interview is yet another example of the network’s blatant bias and disregard for fair and balanced reporting. Instead of engaging in thoughtful discussion, they’d rather resort to baseless attacks and fear-mongering. But hey, what else is new?
