President Joe Biden just received another devastating blow to his already plummeting popularity, this time courtesy of the left-leaning CNN. In a new poll conducted by SSRS for CNN, Biden’s job ratings were met with overwhelming negativity, leaving the President with nowhere to hide.
According to the poll, only 39% of respondents approved of Biden’s performance as President, while a whopping 61% disapproved. These numbers paint a grim picture for Biden, reminiscent of his lowest approval rating in June 2022, when it dropped to a dismal 38%. It seems that Biden’s downward spiral began in December 2022, and he has yet to recover.
But it doesn’t end there. The poll also asked participants for their general opinion of Biden, and the results were nothing short of disastrous. A mere 35% of respondents had a favorable opinion of Biden, while 58% chose “unfavorable.” Excuse us, Mr. President, but it appears the American people are less than impressed.
The numbers continue to worsen when it comes to confidence in Biden’s abilities. Only 28% of participants believe Biden inspires confidence, and a mere 26% think he has the stamina and sharpness to effectively serve as President. With each passing day, Biden’s image is crumbling before our eyes, and even his own party is losing faith.
But what about the Democrats? Surely they still believe in their beloved leader, right? Wrong. The poll reveals that even Democratic-aligned voters are experiencing decreased confidence in Biden. This erosion of support is causing the once fervent believers to question their initial enthusiasm for the President.
As if things couldn’t get any worse for Biden, a majority of participants, 58% to be exact, believe that he has worsened the economic condition of the country. Additionally, a staggering 70% feel that things are going “pretty badly” or “very badly” in the nation. It’s hard to imagine how Biden can paint a rosy picture of his presidency with numbers like these.
The implications for the Democratic Party are dire. Biden, the supposed frontrunner for their 2024 presidential nominee, is sinking in popularity faster than ever before. How can Democrats continue to put their faith in a leader who is so widely disliked and deemed unfit to govern? It seems they are out of touch with the American people and are clinging to a sinking ship.
And yet, despite all of these abysmal findings, the CNN poll shockingly indicates that Biden is virtually tied with former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup. How can this be? It’s a political mystery that defies logic and common sense.
One thing is clear: Biden’s presidency is teetering on the edge of disaster, and the American people have had enough. It’s time for a change, a leader who can inspire confidence, restore our economy, and put the country back on track. The future of our nation depends on it.
