A brave Colorado city councilwoman is fighting back against a liberal district attorney who refuses to protect American families from dangerous illegal immigrants. Republican Aurora Councilmember Danielle Jurinsky has launched a recall campaign against 18th Judicial District Attorney Amy Padden. Padden has been coddling criminals and putting our communities at risk with her weak policies.
The final straw came when 24-year-old Kaitlyn Weaver was killed by a 15-year-old illegal immigrant driving over 90 miles per hour without a license. This young American woman had her whole life ahead of her before it was stolen by someone who shouldn’t have been in our country. Instead of demanding justice, Padden offered the killer a sweetheart plea deal that insulted Kaitlyn’s memory.
Jurinsky isn’t backing down from this fight for justice. She promised Kaitlyn’s father that his daughter’s death would not be in vain. The councilwoman is working around the clock to gather the 82,737 signatures needed to force a recall election.
This isn’t Padden’s only failure to protect innocent Americans. She also dismissed charges against Solomon Galligan, a registered sex offender who tried to kidnap an 11-year-old boy from a playground. Padden claimed the predator was incompetent to stand trial and let him walk free.
Jurinsky says Padden has been dismissing cases that should be prosecuted and handing out probation for serious felony crimes. These liberal prosecutors think criminals deserve more protection than law-abiding citizens. They care more about protecting illegal immigrants than American families.
The recall petition has been filed with the Colorado Secretary of State and a committee has been formed. If approved, they have 60 days to collect enough signatures to trigger the recall election. Attorney Suzanne Taheri, a former deputy secretary of state, is leading the legal effort.
Padden claims the allegations against her are false and calls them misinformation. This is typical liberal gaslighting when they get caught putting criminals before victims. She’s had six months in office and already proven she can’t be trusted to keep our communities safe.
American voters are tired of soft-on-crime prosecutors who prioritize illegal immigrants over their own citizens. Jurinsky is standing up for what’s right and fighting for justice that Kaitlyn Weaver and all crime victims deserve. It’s time to remove these failed liberal prosecutors who refuse to do their jobs.
