In a move that has left Democrats shaking in their boots, Republican House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) and Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) have initiated contempt of Congress proceedings against Hunter Biden. The president’s son made the grave mistake of failing to appear for a subpoenaed closed-door deposition on Wednesday. Big oof!

If convicted of contempt of Congress, Hunter Biden could face a hefty fine of up to $100,000 and even imprisonment. Talk about a serious case of “oops, I forgot to show up!”
Now, let’s not forget that depositions are a common practice used by congressional investigators, and Democrats have had their fair share of depositions during their investigations.
