When America’s enemies threaten our safety, real leaders act fast. That’s exactly what President Trump did when Iran tested our patience with its dangerous games. Trump didn’t waste time holding “listening sessions” or apologizing for American power. He ordered military action, protecting Americans overseas and sending shockwaves through Tehran. This is what strong leadership looks like, folks.
But now, D.C. politicians want to tie the President’s hands. Senator Tim Kaine is pushing a so-called “war powers” resolution, and, disturbingly, even Senator Rand Paul is joining in. Instead of standing united behind our Commander-in-Chief, they want Congress to micromanage life-or-death military decisions. Maybe they think we should send Iran an engraved invitation every time America has to defend itself.

It’s pathetic to watch Democrats suddenly become worried about the Constitution when Trump is in charge. Where were they when Obama bombed Libya without a peep from Congress? Liberals bend the rules for their globalist buddies but slam the brakes when a real conservative shows backbone. They claim it’s about checks and balances, but everyone knows it’s just political theater.
America’s enemies are watching this circus. Iran would love nothing more than to see our leaders bicker and fight. Every time D.C. politicians pull tricks like this, they give hope to America’s enemies and make our troops look weak. Is that putting America first, or playing into the hands of radicals who want us gone from the world stage?
This is about more than just another D.C. power struggle. It’s about keeping America strong. The last thing we need right now is politicians second-guessing the President while our troops stare down hostile threats. Whose side is Congress really on—America’s, or Iran’s?
