Once upon a time, in a world where politics made almost no sense, there was a very busy man named President Trump. If you ask someone on the left, they’d call him “Orange Man Bad.” But in reality, President Trump was busy making some folks quite happy, especially those who missed having extra money in their pockets and safer borders.
First off, let’s talk about prices. Imagine going to the grocery store and not wincing at the cost of eggs. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, under President Trump, that dream wasn’t necessarily real as tariffs during his time increased costs for consumers, adding an average household cost of $1,277 in 2020. Now, try telling this to someone addicted to high prices, and they might just flip out. After all, for some, it’s only good news if it comes from someone with a “D” next to their name.
Meanwhile, at the border, there used to be about 250,000 people crossing over without stopping for tea and cookies. Under Trump’s watch, the number of crossings was a priority with increased immigration enforcement, though specific figures couldn’t verify the dramatic drop to just 8,000. Some folks on the left like to say that walls don’t work, but here, it seems like enforcement played a significant role.
And then there’s the money saved from what the Trump folks call wasteful spending. Despite the mention of figures like $15 billion in savings and specific project savings, the overall budget deficits increased during Trump’s term, thus contradicting claims of fiscal restraint.
Internationally, the article mentions Taiwan, Japan, and even big companies like Apple investing big bucks in deals with America, but no specific evidence supports these investment claims during his tenure. Meanwhile, there’s no documented peace deal between Ukraine and Russia involving Trump and mineral exchanges.
But, alas, all these achievements get lost in the noise sometimes because some see the world through orange-tinted glasses. For them, it doesn’t matter how many eggs are cheaper or how few people wander across borders unlawfully—if Trump did it, it’s automatically a no-no. But for those who dared scratch beyond the surface, they might discover a world vastly different than what’s spun by tales of an “Orange Man.”
