In November, Virginia voters will go to the polls to decide which party will control the state House of Delegates and which will take over the Senate. Glenn Youngkin, the Republican governor, is leading the charge to defend his party's majority. With a track record of success and high approval ratings, Youngkin is considered to be an important player in the state.
A recent poll showed that Youngkin enjoys a high approval rating. He has also led Virginians to a $5.1 billion surplus, and he's been able to protect parental rights in the classroom.
It’s no surprise that there has been talk of Youngkin's potential presidential run in 2024. Due to the growing concerns about Trump, some major donors are considering him as an alternative. Newt Gingrich also thinks that Youngkin could be a dark horse candidate.

Despite his high approval ratings, Youngkin is still focused on Virginia and the upcoming election. He's hoping to help his party regain the House of Delegates. He's also planning on campaigning early.
If Youngkin continues to do well in Virginia, it's possible that he could become a leading candidate for higher office in the future. Right now, Republicans are fortunate to have Youngkin fighting for their values.
