Preliminary government reports acknowledge shots were fired by Border Patrol and CBP officers, but the footage and witness accounts have raised serious questions about whether the use of lethal force was necessary in the moments captured on video. Americans deserve answers, transparency, and a full, independent accounting.
What makes this more disturbing is how quickly certain officials rushed to demonize the victim, with Homeland Security voices labeling Pretti a “domestic terrorist” even as footage and eyewitness statements painted a murkier picture.
