Dem Insiders Panic Over Biden-Admit ‘This is Grim’!

The Democratic Party may be facing a major predicament with President Joe Biden as their candidate for the 2024 election. According to sources from The New York Times, party elites have expressed concerns about Biden’s chances of success. Thomas B. Edsall of The Times described Biden’s situation as “a dangerous situation” due to the potential loss of voting blocs that are typically loyal to the Democrats.

A recent poll conducted by Stan Greenberg and James Carville’s Democracy Corps revealed some troubling findings for Biden. The poll showed that key Democratic voting groups such as Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, the LGBTQ+ community, Gen Z, millennials, unmarried women, and college women give former President Donald Trump higher approval ratings than Biden. Additionally, Biden is reportedly trailing behind Trump by 2 points in the swing states that will likely determine the outcome of the 2024 election.

The grim poll results have raised concerns among Democrats. Greenberg himself characterized the situation as “grim.” Another blow to Biden’s prospects came from recent NBC News polling, which indicated that Democrats and Republicans are neck and neck among voters on middle-class issues, with Democrats holding only a slight 2-point lead.

Even polling data on a potential rematch between Biden and Trump does not bode well for the president. Biden currently trails Trump by 2 points in the Real Clear Politics aggregate of polls. This is a stark contrast to the 2020 election, where Biden consistently led Trump in the polls, despite Trump ultimately outperforming projections.

Not only are Biden’s polling numbers concerning, but they have also caught the attention of other Democratic elites. Former Obama administration adviser David Axelrod raised doubts about Biden’s chances in 2024, highlighting the fact that “the age arrow only points in one direction.” Axelrod even seemed to suggest that Biden should consider dropping out of the race due to the potential stakes of miscalculation.

It seems that Biden’s nomination as the Democratic Party’s candidate is almost guaranteed, as the Democratic National Committee has effectively sidelined primary challengers by not scheduling any debates. However, with his polling woes and concerns from fellow Democrats, it remains to be seen how Biden’s candidacy will fare leading up to the 2024 election.
