During a hearing regarding the harmful effects of gender-affirming legislation, Cohen made a strong argument against men using women's restrooms. Paula Scanlan, a former collegiate swimmer, shared her experience transitioning into a woman while competing against Lia Thomas, who was a biological man. Cohen then proposed that Penn State University put up barriers in women's restrooms.
When Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida asked Scanlan if Cohen's suggestion was an acceptable solution, she quickly noted that the proposal unwittingly acknowledged the differences between women and men.
While it is important to acknowledge that there must be separate rooms for each gender, it is not unreasonable to assume that the locker rooms we have come to rely on are the correct ones. If we can recognize the need for privacy and protection, then the appropriate facilities should be the ones we have used.

The controversy shows how out of touch the left is with reality when it comes to advocating for gender equality. It's also about making people feel uncomfortable. Cohen's suggestion serves as a good example of why we should prioritize the privacy and comfort of women when it comes to debating locker room issues.
