“Mike Johnson’s Election Denial Should Raise Alarms for 2024” cries out the New York Intelligencer, trying to cause panic among conservatives. Well, I’m officially on high alert, folks! I mean, who wouldn’t be alarmed by the audacity of the new Speaker of the House? But in the wise words of the late Joan Rivers, “Oh, grow up!”
Now, while the media is busy sensationalizing a questionable headline, something truly concerning is happening in New Jersey. The attorney general of the state has charged a Democratic candidate for mayor of Plainfield with voter fraud. And get this, the candidate actually had the audacity to bring a trash bag filled with almost 1,000 falsified voter registration forms to a post office. Talk about garbage politics!

Dr. Henrilynn Ibezim, the alleged fraudster, is now facing a laundry list of charges, including election fraud, criminal attempt to commit false registration, forgery, and tampering with public records. That’s quite the rap sheet, and it smells worse than a trash bag in the heat of summer.
But here’s the surprising part, folks. These charges are being filed by a Democrat! Yes, you heard that right. Even someone from the other side of the aisle is fed up with this blatant attack on our democracy. Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin is not only going after Ibezim, but he also made it clear that attempting to tamper with an election result through fraud undermines the integrity of our institutions. Way to go, Platkin!
Let’s not forget the bigger picture here. Election tampering is no small matter. It not only corrupts the fair selection of officeholders, but it also erodes the trust and confidence of the voters. How many times have you heard someone say, “Why bother voting? It doesn’t make a difference anyway?” Well, actions like these just reinforce those doubts. We need to protect the integrity of our election system and ensure that every vote counts.
So, while the media tries to distract us with their fearmongering about election denial, let’s focus on the real threat — the individuals like Ibezim who are willing to cheat their way into power. But I have faith that justice will prevail, thanks to dedicated public servants like Attorney General Platkin. Let’s hope that they keep a close eye on their state’s presidential voting too, just to be safe.
