In a shocking display of vintage liberal arrogance, Democrat Jamie Raskin has essentially admitted that his party can’t wait to get back into power just to punish anyone who dared to deal with the Trump administration. In a recent podcast appearance, Raskin didn’t hide his disdain for those governments that had the audacity to work with Trump. He’s promised severe consequences, putting even countries like El Salvador in the crosshairs for deportation-related cooperation.
Here we go again, folks. The left is on its high horse, preaching about the demise of democracy while openly salivating at the chance to flip the script and turn the screws on their political rivals. First, they claim Trump runs a gangster state. Then, without a hint of irony, they dream of returning to power and ostracizing anyone that doesn’t toe their line. So who exactly are the real authoritarians here?

Raskin seems more focused on threatening foreign aid and tossing out bizarre suggestions that former President Trump could be sent packing to a foreign jail. If anyone thinks that this is a sane or even remotely constitutional approach, thanks but no thanks. Yet, for Raskin and his ilk, veiled threats and divisive rhetoric are just part of the plan, all in the name of “preventing fascism.”
But here’s the kicker: who else are they going to alienate aside from their own echo chamber? They’ve got their revenge checklist ready, targeting everyone from a foreign nation trying to enforce the law to big tech honchos like Elon Musk who dared exit the fold. Looks like handling the real-world issues affecting Americans today is the least of their concerns.
Let’s be real for a second. This kind of political theater might whip up their base into a frenzy, but it’s going to alienate anyone with an ounce of common sense. Does Raskin really believe that by threatening and vilifying nations and individuals, he is somehow securing democracy? Maybe they need a new slogan: Making Hypocrisy Great Again. At this rate, good luck to them winning anyone over with this blatant display of power-hungry fantasy.
