Democratic Approval Ratings Hit Historic Lows Under Biden Administration As Discontent Grows

CNN’s resident data analyst Harry Enten recently blew the lid off the Democratic Party’s plummeting approval ratings during a segment on “News Central.” Apparently, the party’s numbers have descended to new depths, reaching historic lows not seen since the Clinton administration. NBC News chimed in with a staggering 27 percent approval rating for the Democrats, which prompts one to wonder if any of the party leaders have considered a career change— perhaps in underground bunker construction.

Enten didn’t stop there when pressed for more bad news. He revealed that a whopping 68 percent of voters disapprove of Democrats in Congress, while only 21 percent can muster the enthusiasm to give a thumbs up. These numbers are dismal even for a party known for pushing the envelope on what constitutes a successful legislative agenda. If the Democrats were a stock, investors would be jumping ship faster than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

The analysis somberly continued with a look into the minds of Democratic voters themselves. It turns out that almost half—49 percent—have a dislike for their own party’s congressional performance. This is the kind of number that could induce head-scratching at any Democratic fundraising gala, if they can find a way to pay for the shrimp cocktails without scaring away their donors. Meanwhile, only 40 percent approved of the Democratic congressional crew, leading one to ask if the party might want to consider investing in charm school.

This grim assessment of Democratic favorability begs the question: what exactly are they doing wrong? With soaring inflation, creeping crime rates, and a border situation that resembles a scene from a low-budget apocalypse film, one might imagine some attempt at corrective action. But alas, the party appears to be doubling down on its strategies rather than reevaluating its approach. In essence, they remain too busy waging culture wars to acknowledge the fire around them.

As the Democrats continue to spiral downwards in the approval ratings abyss, one wonders how much longer they can skate by on woke policies while the average American grapples with real, tangible issues. The upcoming elections are shaping up to be a test not just for traditional party loyalties, but also for the practicality of policies that don’t just read well on social media, but actually resonate with the voting public. The results could very well send waves through not only the Democratic establishment but also any other party that dares to take a similar approach.
