David Hogg’s recent meltdown highlights the chaos brewing within the Democratic Party. It’s almost comical watching a party, already stumbling with rock-bottom approval ratings, being lectured by a guy whose greatest claim to fame is an anti-gun stunt and a failed pillow company. Yet, the Democrats made him vice chair—talk about a lack of judgment.
Hogg’s cries of Democrats being asleep at the wheel are a convenient scapegoat for their failures. Apparently, when you’re the vice-chair of a floundering ship, it’s easier to point fingers than steer the wheel. But here’s the kicker: Hogg believes the solution is moving even further left. As if America hasn’t made it clear that open borders and increased taxes are not exactly winning strategies.
The Democratic Party has trapped itself in a cycle of self-destruction by pandering to radical voices within their ranks. Hogg is a symptom of their failing experiment, not the fix. What’s shocking is that the Democrats still can’t seem to grasp how digging their heels in with extreme policies alienates average Americans. Instead of recalibrating, they double down on nonsense.

Where are the grown-ups in the Democratic leadership? Perhaps they turned in their credentials when they allowed the fringes of their party to run amuck. It certainly isn’t Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or Gavin Newsom holding the reins. The entire party seems too focused on infighting and not on delivering real, tangible results to the American people.
Maybe, just maybe, this is what happens when a political party decides to appease radicals instead of getting its act together. The Democrats could’ve taken a different path, but now they find themselves at the mercy of their own misguided choices. In the end, it looks like they might just write their own obituary. Well, they certainly can’t say they didn’t see it coming.
