Democrats in the Senate have once again demonstrated their knack for missing the point entirely. In their latest political stunt, they attempted to strip President Trump of his rightful power to act swiftly in matters of national security. Their failed measure to limit the president’s war powers was little more than a feeble attempt to score partisan points at the expense of America’s safety.
President Trump’s decisive action against Iranian nuclear facilities showcased true leadership. Yet, the Democrats would prefer a president bogged down by endless congressional debates and bureaucratic red tape. When a threat emerges, America needs a commander in chief who can act with precision and authority. Democrats seem to forget that the safety of our nation doesn’t have a pause button.
The left loves to paint President Trump as reckless, but isn’t it reckless to handcuff a president during times of international tension? Democrats argue for a more involved Congress when they should be grateful for a president who understands the urgency of protecting American interests. While Trump takes swift, calculated actions, his detractors would rather consult the opinion polls and wring their hands.

Rand Paul’s decision to side with Democrats is another puzzling move. When political grandstanding begins to threaten American lives, it’s clear that some lawmakers have lost their way. On the bright side, it’s heartening to see figures like John Fetterman recognize the importance of a strong national defense.
The Democrats’ obsession with undermining President Trump is blinding them to the bigger picture. What they truly fear is a president who is both capable and willing to act. In a world full of threats, the American people deserve leadership that prioritizes security over appeasing globalist ideologies. Perhaps the real question should be: when will Democrats finally put America first?
