Democrats have once again proven they care more about dangerous foreign criminals than the safety of American citizens. Rep. Yassamin Ansari and a small gang of left-wing lawmakers recently jetted off to El Salvador to lobby for the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a man confirmed to be a suspected MS-13 gang member, not the innocent victim they try to paint him as. These politicians are more interested in appeasing cartel-linked criminals than securing our borders or supporting the rule of law.
Instead of doing their jobs in Washington, these Democrats are wasting taxpayer dollars playing hero for criminals. They absurdly demand the U.S. government pressure Salvadoran authorities to release a man deported for obvious security risks. Ansari’s shameless framing of the deportation as a “constitutional crisis” is nothing more than political theater designed to undermine lawful immigration enforcement and smear President Trump’s legacy. This is another desperate attempt to rewrite reality to fit the left’s open-borders agenda.
The lies don’t stop there. Ansari also wildly misrepresented another deportee’s age, claiming the man was a teenage victim when he is, in fact, a 31-year-old Venezuelan gang affiliate. This blatant misinformation reveals how little these lawmakers care about facts—they are driven solely by virtue-signaling on illegal immigration. Their demands for “proof of life” and calls for releasing hardened criminals only endanger American families and communities.

What’s even more galling is their insult to hardworking members of Congress still holding the line. Ansari openly admitted that others who remain focused on their actual jobs have so far refused to join her dangerous and misguided mission to El Salvador. When House Oversight Chairman James Comer declined to fund this taxpayer-funded circus, these liberals whined and complained, proving yet again that when accountability and responsibility are required, Democrats fold.
It’s time the American people wake up to this radical left-wing betrayal. Instead of securing our border and protecting citizens, the Democrats prefer to advocate for gang members deported under lawful procedures. They want more taxpayers’ money wasted on fruitless foreign trips to coddle criminals and promote open border policies. If this isn’t anti-American, what is? When will honest leaders confront these radical lawmakers and make them answer why they put foreign gangsters above the safety of our neighborhoods?
