Kamala Harris, the former Vice President who faced a humiliating defeat against Donald Trump in 2024, is inexplicably back in the spotlight for 2028. One would think that after being soundly rejected by the American public, the Democrats would look to the future. Instead, they seem caught in a loop of their own making, entertaining another run from someone who has proven she can’t win the big game.
Her name is cropping up again, purportedly because of some Democratic senators who are cautiously willing to let Harris take another shot. But let’s be real: Harris’s track record is far more memorable for her failures than her triumphs. This is hardly a surprise, considering the Democratic Party’s bench these days seems weaker than a sandcastle in a hurricane.
Among the political elite, a few brave souls like a certain senator revealed their liberation from Harris delusions, openly admitting their disinterest. They understand that America doesn’t need a rerun of 2024. Other Democrats, still wearing their rose-colored glasses, argue she deserves another chance simply because of her name and past positions. But if her “valuable perspective” couldn’t carry her to victory before, why drag America through another tepid campaign?
Skepticism doesn’t end in the Senate. Political analysts from the ivory towers of academia concur there’s scant enthusiasm for Harris 2.0. Her supposed support in 2028 polls isn’t out of genuine admiration; it’s pure name recognition. Democrats crave fresh blood, yet they’re holding onto the stale crumbs of the past, fearing to forge new paths.

It’s baffling that such a supposedly savvy political machine continues to entertain Harris, especially when she’s mired in the mid-tier pits of potential candidates. From the likes of far-left favorites like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to governors with big state ambitions, there’s a lineup of Democrats eagerly waiting their turn. However, Harris remains a glove trying to fit back on a hand too smart to wear it twice.
With her weak popularity swirling in the negatives, one wonders if the Democrats have lost touch with reality. Harris’s gubernatorial ambitions in California might be on the horizon, but why would she want to play the same losing hand at the national level again? Americans should ask themselves: do we really want to endure another uninspiring campaign, or is it time to let Harris fade into political oblivion?
Who are we kidding? This is a party that can’t learn from its mistakes. How many times will they serve up the same dish and expect a different delight? Perhaps this is the true essence of liberal insanity.
