It was an all-too-familiar sight in Washington last night. President Trump stood tall, delivering a State of the Union speech that hammered home real American values. But Democrats, as usual, couldn’t even pretend to care. They sat glued to their seats as the President honored victims like Iryna Zarutska, whose tragic murder should unite any decent person. Instead, the left scowled, pouted, and made it clear—again—they’d rather play political games than confront the damage their open-borders policies cause.
Michael Whatley didn’t miss a beat. He went right after Roy Cooper, the Democrat who seems to think protecting criminals is more important than protecting Americans. Watching Cooper and his fellow liberals squirm while Trump brought up Zarutska’s name told us everything. The Democrats are more interested in looking woke for their globalist donors than actually fighting for the people they represent. You’d think just once they’d stand up for a murdered American. Every time Democrats ignore or downplay these tragedies, they send a message: criminals and foreigners come first, while working Americans are left to fend for themselves. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? When was the last time Roy Cooper stood up for law-abiding citizens instead of criminals and illegal aliens?
Whatley’s response nailed it. It wasn’t just an attack ad or a warning shot—it was a reality check. Voters need to remember which side the Democrats are really on, and it’s not ours. Cooper and the rest of his party only care about pandering to virtue-signaling elites while ignoring families shattered by crime.
Liberals pretend to have compassion, but all they really have is contempt for the American people. They can’t even stand up when it matters most. Maybe next time Cooper wants to play political theater, he’ll remember that the country is watching—and we’re sick of the left’s cowardice. When will these globalists learn that Americans want leaders who actually put America first?
