In another unsurprising move, the Democrats and Never Trump Republicans are banding together to stop a third-party candidate from aiding former President Donald Trump in returning to the White House in 2024. These virtuous souls, under the guise of “saving democracy,” are convening to put up roadblocks against President Trump at all turns. According to sources, their desperation reached new heights when a presentation displayed that a third-party candidate from No Labels would draw more voters away from President Biden than from Trump, which led the group to brainstorm ways to shut down the operation, including pressuring No Labels’ donors. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
The anti-Trump forces present at the meeting included former White House chief of staff Ron Klain, Democratic National Committee senior adviser Cedric L. Richmond, former Democrat senators Doug Jones, Heidi Heitkamp, and Claire McCaskill, along with some representatives of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project. They were joined by Weekly Standard publisher Bill Kristol and Lucy Caldwell, a former Republican consultant who now advises the independent Forward Party.
These saviors of democracy have grown concerned about No Labels, which could result in voters “protest voting” in support of an alternative candidate. Naturally, such a situation would be damaging to the 46th president’s chances for re-election. Cedric L. Richmond expressed his opposition to No Labels, stating, “I see a group, under a catchy slogan that is misleading at best, saying that they have the country’s best interest at heart when the exercise will do nothing but elect Donald Trump. I am encouraged that a lot of people share the concern that this effort is dangerous.”
No Labels refused to disclose if they view Biden as an unacceptable nominee, as it has already stated regarding former President Trump. The group hinted that they would abandon their efforts to produce a third-party candidate if another Republican like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis captures the nomination.
