Dems Talk Green While DC Drowns in Sewage See the Shocking Disaster Hidden in Plain Sight

While the left keeps shouting about green New Deals and saving the planet, the nation’s own capital is drowning in filth. Washington, D.C.’s Democrat mayor finally called a public emergency, but not until a month after a massive sewage pipe collapsed and started dumping nasty wastewater into the historic Potomac River. Thirty days of polluted water, and guess what—no sudden outcry from the eco-activist crowd. Isn’t that odd?

This mess didn’t happen overnight. It’s what you get when decades of liberal leadership focus on woke priorities instead of basic city needs. How is it that the same people demanding millions for bike lanes and climate studies can’t keep a vital sewage pipe from falling apart? They scramble to beg the federal government for help. But real leaders plan. Real leaders don’t wait until a river—one that helped build this country—reeks of raw sewage before acting.

Every taxpayer should be furious. Billions seem to vanish into D.C.’s bottomless pit of government spending, but maintaining critical infrastructure gets brushed aside. When disaster strikes, the left acts shocked and cries for bailouts. Residents suffer while their leaders play politics. This is the “progress” folks in D.C. voted for, and the rest of the nation is supposed to foot the bill.

Let’s not forget the hypocrisy. These same officials love to lecture the rest of America about “environmental justice.” They point fingers at rural towns and middle America, accusing them of not doing enough for the planet. Yet the capital, run lockstep by liberal elites, lets literal sewage pollute the Potomac for weeks before anyone picks up the phone to ask for help.

Who will clean up their mess this time—and how much will it cost us? Maybe if America’s ruling class spent less time virtue signaling and more time serving their citizens, this capital catastrophe wouldn’t have happened in the first place. If the swamp can’t even keep its pipes working, why should anyone trust them to run the country?
