House Democrats have once again shown their true colors by throwing a childish tantrum over the censure of Adam Schiff. As reported by journalist Greg Price, House Democrats could not even let the resolution finish being read without yelling out “shame” at Kevin McCarthy, the House Speaker.
The Democrats’ behavior is reminiscent of Queen Cersei Lannister’s infamous “walk of shame” on the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones.” It is a true disgrace that elected officials in Congress can behave so dishonorably.
On Wednesday night, the House of Representatives voted in favor of censuring Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) over his many documented untruths about the Trump-Russia collusion hoax and his unethical prosecution of former President Donald Trump over a valid inquiry into corrupt practices by the Biden family in Ukraine.
The vote breakdown showed Democrats voting 209 “nay” with 4 “no votes,” while Republicans voted 213 “yay” with four voting “present” and 6 “no votes.”
As part of the censure procedure, Schiff will have to stand on the House floor while Kevin McCarthy reads the brief rule about the censure. It is a well-deserved punishment, and it should serve as a warning to other dishonest lawmakers who think they can get away with their unethical practices.
Schiff, who is currently running for a US Senate seat in California, faced an initial hurdle when a vote to dismiss the legislation failed. The resolution accuses Schiff of misleading the American public during the congressional investigation into Russia and Trump, as well as of damaging actions leading up to Trump’s first impeachment.

During his time in Congress, Schiff has played a prominent role as the lead House impeachment manager during Trump’s first impeachment. He has made several false statements and presented false allegations regarding Trump’s collusion with Russia.
In conclusion, the censure of Adam Schiff is a necessary step towards holding dishonest politicians accountable for their unethical behavior. The Democratic Party’s response to the censure, however, shows that they are more concerned with protecting their own than promoting honesty and integrity in Congress.
