This week, Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett made some pretty wild claims about Republicans and their stance on illegal immigration. She went on MSNBC and told host Jonathan Capehart that the Republicans are just plain “absolutely insane” when it comes to the whole immigration issue.

But wait, it gets even more outrageous. Crockett also took a swing at Texas Governor Greg Abbott, accusing him of wanting to “kill people” with his border policies. Seriously, she actually said that.
According to Crockett, the Republicans are totally off base and have never “gotten immigration right” – her words, not ours. She’s really not holding back on these accusations. And she didn’t stop there. She also slammed Abbott for supposedly wanting to “kill people that are trying to come in.”
Of course, she didn’t miss the chance to sprinkle in some emotional appeal, too. Crockett went on to talk about migrants risking their lives to come to the U.S. and how turning them away doesn’t align with the country’s values.
The southern border encountered over 12,000 migrants in a single day, with more than 10,000 being taken into custody. That’s a whole lot of people trying to make their way into the country, and it’s no wonder the border resources are feeling the strain.
