For too long, soft-on-crime local governments have become safe harbors for the worst offenders; federal intervention was inevitable and overdue.
The Florida operation alone resulted in hundreds of arrests, including scores of convicted sexual offenders and child predators, underscoring why the federal surge is not a political stunt but a lifesaving necessity.
