In a shocking revelation, it has been discovered that a National Institute of Health lab in Montana was conducting experiments with bats to study the spread of the virus back in 2018. This research, which was funded by the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), raised eyebrows due to its eerie similarity to the current coronavirus pandemic. What makes this discovery even more intriguing is the fact that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of NIAID at the time, oversaw this experiment.
The experiments took place at the renowned Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Montana, which is known as a premier facility for biomedical research. The study aimed to determine whether the WIV1-coronavirus could infect and replicate in a group of 12 Egyptian fruit bats. The bats were closely monitored, with daily examinations and measurements of body weight and temperature. The scientists even collected samples from the bats’ noses and throats and euthanized some of the bats to analyze their organs.
The results of the experiment were not as alarming as one might expect. The virus was found to be “unable to cause a robust infection” in the bats, leading researchers to conclude that the spread of the virus could be specific to certain bat species and not others. Additionally, existing research suggests that many SARS-like viruses in bats cannot directly infect humans.

While these findings provide some key insights into the behavior of coronaviruses in bats, they also raise questions about the origins of COVID-19. Since the first cases were reported in China in late 2019, there has been a contentious debate about whether the virus originated from an animal pathway or leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Dr. Fauci has been dismissive of the lab-leak theory, even as evidence continues to emerge.
It is important to note that the bats used in the 2018 project were obtained from the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo in Maryland, not far from Camp David. This zoo has been accused of animal care violations by the activist group White Coat Waste, which referred to it as a “crummy roadside zoo.” The group’s president, Anthony Bellotti, criticized the project, claiming that it involved shipping bats from this zoo to a government virus lab overseen by Dr. Fauci.
This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation into the origins of COVID-19. As more information comes to light, it becomes increasingly important to get to the bottom of how this pandemic started and prevent future outbreaks.
