At the University of Alabama, there were two groups of student protestors with very different views. One group supported Palestine, the other supported Israel. However, they found common ground in expressing their displeasure towards President Joe Biden by chanting “Fuck Joe Biden” back and forth during a protest on campus.
The pro-Palestine group, dressed in colorful hippie clothing and waving rainbow and Palestine flags, called for an immediate ceasefire. On the other side, the pro-Israel group wore camo pants, displayed American and Israeli flags, and one person even waved a Trump banner.

This incident shows how divided the country is under President Biden’s leadership. His handling of the Israel-Gaza conflict and the anti-Israel protests on college campuses has caused his approval ratings to drop significantly. Some protestors also called for divestment from companies like Lockheed Martin, leading to changes on the company’s website.
It is concerning to see the level of division and discontent among young people on college campuses. President Biden’s policies seem to have failed to unite Americans and have instead intensified existing tensions. This incident highlights the need for strong leadership that can bring people together rather than further polarize the nation.
