The battle between social media platform owner Elon Musk and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has reignited once again, this time over the issue of illegal immigration and the lack of action from the Biden administration. AOC made a ludicrous comment about Ellis Island, attempting to use the history of legal immigration as a justification for the current chaos of illegal entry. In response, Musk called her out for not being very smart, which prompted AOC to have a meltdown and list her laughable accomplishments to someone who has actually achieved a lot.

To further fuel the fire, Musk decided to visit the border and release a video as a citizen journalist, where he met with Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and local law enforcement officials. This upset AOC, who criticized Gonzales for spending time with a billionaire instead of being in D.C. However, the irony was not lost on many, as AOC had previously cried and postured about “kids in cages” when Trump was in office but seemed indifferent to the border crisis now that Biden is in charge.

Then I investigated Cohen, authored the largest FEMA funeral assistance program in history and led creation of a US Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs.

However, have you considered, rather than “funeral assistance”, that FEMA focus its funding on preventing funerals in the first place?

Musk didn’t hold back in his response to AOC’s meltdown, sarcastically congratulating her on her so-called epic achievements and questioning the priorities of FEMA. He suggested that instead of focusing on “funeral assistance,” FEMA should be preventing funerals altogether. It was a humorous clap back that highlighted the stark contrast between AOC’s empty accomplishments and Musk’s significant contributions.
Musk’s point about caring more about the border crisis than a person who has a Constitutional obligation to serve and protect the country raises an important question. Why is a billionaire showing more concern for America’s well-being than someone who is supposed to be representing the people? This serves as a clear indication of how little AOC and the Democrats truly care about the harm being caused by this crisis.
