Entitled AG Arrested for Trespassing Demands Special Treatment from Cops

A Rhode Island prosecutor just learned the hard way that nobody is above the law in America. Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan was arrested for trespassing outside a Newport restaurant last week after police were called to remove an unwanted party. Body camera footage shows this entitled government official completely melting down when officers dared to treat her like any other citizen.

Flanagan immediately started barking orders at the cops like she owned them. She demanded they turn off their body cameras and kept saying “I’m an AG” as if that magic phrase would make her untouchable. The arrogance was disgusting to watch as she acted like her government job made her royalty.

Even worse, she flat out lied to the officers about police protocol. Flanagan claimed that cops have to turn off their body cameras when any citizen requests it, which is complete nonsense. She was trying to manipulate these officers with fake legal authority, showing just how corrupt and dishonest she really is.

This woman used her position as a prosecutor to try intimidating police officers who were just doing their jobs. She threatened one officer by saying “You’re gonna regret this” while being arrested. That sounds like witness intimidation from someone who should know better than anyone that such behavior is illegal.

The Newport police officers showed incredible professionalism throughout this embarrassing episode. They stayed calm while this government official threw her tantrum and tried to abuse her authority. These cops deserve praise for treating everyone equally under the law, no matter what fancy title they claim to have.

This incident shows exactly what is wrong with our government today. Too many bureaucrats think their positions make them special and exempt from the rules that apply to regular Americans. When prosecutors believe they can break the law without consequences, our entire justice system is under attack.

Devon Flanagan should be fired immediately and stripped of her law license. Anyone who tries to manipulate police officers and abuse their government position has no business working in law enforcement. Rhode Island taxpayers deserve better than corrupt officials who think they are above accountability.

This case proves why we need strong oversight of government workers at every level. When these entitled bureaucrats forget they work for us, not the other way around, we must hold them accountable. No badge, no title, and no government job should ever put someone above the law in America.
